For elementary and middle school students
Interested in STEM? Love math? Science? Technology? Engineering? And… Robotics?
RoboCamp is a unique educational experience that has a fun, structured curriculum that focuses on robotics, simple circuits, the engineering process and chemistry. RoboCamp is completely student run and taught. The curriculum is primarily focused on STEM; science, technology, engineering, and math. Students will be given various challenges throughout the 4 days, and 1 mentor per group. There will be a teacher and many of our club members in the area at all times. The goal of this program is to introduce children to science and engineering beyond what is taught in school and give the children teamwork and problem solving skills that are essential to success. No previous STEM knowledge and experience is necessary to learn and have fun at this camp!
Campers will be separated into 2 age groups (elementary and middle school) to Robocamp Jr. and Robocamp Sr., both of which will be held at the same time. One will be held in Ms.Tarver’s room (C1306) at Westwood High School (12400 Mellow Meadow Dr, Austin, TX 78750) and the other will be in the room next door (C1307). 

Elementary school students will be part of RoboCamp Jr., with activities including Non-Newtonian fluid, Ferrofluid, Elephant Toothpaste, Baking Soda Volcanoes, Lemon Batteries, and other valuable learning experiences to engage them in a fun introduction to STEM.

Middle school students will be categorized into RoboCamp Sr., where experienced team members will teach them simple physics, circuitry, and the engineering process through Arduino programming, designing robots (Lego Mindstorms), and many more activities. We are also now accepting incoming freshmen into the RoboCamp Senior program. 

There will be a teacher and many of our club members in the area at all times, and each day of camp will run from 9AM to 12PM. Lunch will not be provided, but snacks will be in abundance. Camp fees are $150 per person. Spots are given on a first come first serve basis.
